Dear William,
Complete 32 oz

Welcome to the first edition of the Enertech Labs, Inc. Fuels and Products update Newsletter. This monthly newsletter will include the latest information available on the changes in diesel fuels, biodiesel fuels, gasoline's, oils, coolants, additives, supplements, cleaners, waxes, polishes, degreasers, service chemicals, aerosols, and more. We welcome feedback and suggestions for future newsletters. Our intent is to be an informational clearinghouse. We will do our very best to provide accurate, clear, and concise information to you, our readers.

Fuel Injector
Ultra-Low Sulfur diesel (ULSD) fuel is a specially refined diesel fuel that has dramatically lower sulfur content than the current Low Sulfur diesel (LSD) on- highway diesel and can be used in most diesel engines just like the current on-highway Low Sulfur Diesel fuels.

Today, the sulfur content of regular diesel has a maximum of 500 parts per million of sulfur with the average being in the 350-420 ppm. The sulfur content of the ULSD currently available ranges from 15 to 30 parts per million. After June 1, 2006 by EPA regulation ULSD must be 15 ppm or less.

HFRR Tester
Lubricity - This describes the ability of a fluid to reduce the friction between surfaces that are under load. This ability reduces the damage that can be caused by friction.

Sulfur is an Extreme Pressure (EP) Lubricant and provides a significant portion of the Lubricity found in the current High Sulfur and Low Sulfur Diesel Fuels. Lubricity is an important consideration when using low sulfur fuels. Lubricity can be replaced or enhanced with additives, but these additives must be compatible with the fuel and with any additives already found in the fuel.

MTBE Molecule
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has suggested potential impacts from the much- anticipated switch to ethanol from MTBE by major gasoline producers before the driving season in 2006. This rapid change-over, which is in-line with the state bans due to water contamination concerns, could result in supply dislocations and price volatility.

MTBE - methyl tertiary-butyl ether is a fuel additive used by many refiners in gasoline as an anti-knock compound and to raise the oxygen content to meet a now cancelled EPA requirement. This additive has been found to cause numerous health problems and is a suspected carcinogen. It has been accumulating in ground water

Valves 1
Over the past year or so, many auto dealers and service shops have noticed that they are having many more customer complaints about so called “drivability issues” including hard starting, engine knock, hesitation, stalling, rough idle, poor fuel economy, and even misfiring.

Most of these problems are related to the buildup of varnish deposits in the fuel injectors and throttle body and carbon deposits on the intake valves and in the combustion chamber. This buildup is directly related to the very significant reduction in the use of detergent-dispersants...
